                              Frequently Asked Questions

What are we building?
We are building a new ministry facility that will help us to facilitate the needs of our entire community.

Why are we building it?
Our recent growth has made much of our ministry space for our children’s, youth, college, and adult ministries inadequate. The new facility will allow for continued growth in these ministries.

When will we occupy the new facility?
We plan to occupy the new facility in the Summer of 2021.

How much will the new facility cost?
We project the construct to cost in the range
of 400,000 dollars to complete and equip.

How will we pay for it?
We will use the existing building fund with the balance being paid off through a combination of donations made through the Capital Stewardship Campaign and funds
allotted in our church budget.

What is a Capital Stewardship Campaign?
A Capital Stewardship Campaign is a church project that seeks pledged donations from people within the congregation and outside of the congregation to be used in paying for a major construction project.

How much money are we hoping to raise through the Capital Stewardship Campaign?
We should be able to raise between 1-2 times more than our annual budget, but obviously we are praying that God will provide the full amount of the cost of the project.

How long will my commitment be?
You are asked to make a 1-year commitment.
How may I prepare to participate?
Pray, asking God to speak to your heart about your commitment. You may also read Scripture that speaks about stewardship and giving, such as 1 Corinthians 16:2; Proverbs 11:25; Proverbs 3:5-9; 2 Corinthians 8:1-7;
Acts 20:35; Luke 6:38; and Psalm 116:12.

If I can’t give a large amount, does my pledge really matter?
Absolutely! All pledges matter, regardless of amount, because as we all participate
according to our ability, God multiplies our giving. The saying is true: Not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice.

When are we expected to give the amount pledged?
Commitment cards will be handed out Celebration Sunday, January 28, 2020 and pledges will begin to be received shortly thereafter.

What forms of contribution will be accepted?
Contributions can be made by cash or check. Other forms of contributions can include the transference of title to marketable stocks, bonds, real estate, etc.

May I update my commitment after Celebration Sunday?
Yes. You may update your commitment at any time.

Do you have to be a church member to participate in the campaign?
No. Participating in the campaign is a personal decision for each of us, and anyone may contribute to God’s work in our church.

Will I be pressured to make a pledge?
No. Participation in the campaign and how much you give will be entirely between you and God. All members and guests will be given the opportunity to contribute if they
wish to do so.
